Refund Policy

Thank you for your purchase. We hope you are happy with your purchase. However, if you are not completely satisfied with your purchase for any reason, you may return it to us for a full refund or an exchange. Please see below for more information on our Refund Policy.

You can request a refund for nearly any unused purchase. Plate Doctor will, upon request via [email protected], issue a refund for any reason, if the request is made within 14 days of purchase, and the product has not been used. There are more details below, but even if you fall outside of the refund rules we’ve described, you can ask for a refund anyway and we will take a look.

Returns

All returns must be postmarked within fourteen (14) days of the purchase date. All returned items must be in new and unused condition, with all original tags and labels attached.

Return Process

To return an item, please email customer service at [email protected] to obtain a Return Merchandise Authorisation (RMA) number. After receiving an RMA number, place the item securely in its original packaging and mail it to the supplier’s address that will be provided to you. A £3.99 restocking fee will be charged for all returns. We reserve the right to adjust said fee for any order which have been cancelled by you. This is to cover administration costs, as well as any associated wasted materials.

Please note, you will be responsible for all return shipping charges. We strongly recommend that you use a trackable method to mail your return. 

Refunds

After receiving your return and inspecting the condition of your item, we will process your return or exchange. Please allow at least three to five (3-5) days from the receipt of your item to process your return or exchange. We will notify you by email when your return has been processed. At our sole discretion, we can grant you a refund of postage costs, accessories, and fitting kits.

You will receive the refund through the same payment method you used to make the purchase. If for any reason, Plate Doctor is unable to issue a refund via your initial payment method, we will provide the value in equivalent credit or provide an alternate method of refund (some payment methods available in your jurisdiction may not support refunding a purchase back to the original payment method).

Please note that sale items are FINAL SALE and cannot be returned.

EU Right of Withdrawal Services

You have the right to withdraw from any purchase of an unused product on Plate Doctor within 14 days without giving any reason.

For any purchase products, the withdrawal period will expire after 14 days from the day on which you acquire, or a third party other than the carrier and indicated by you acquires, physical possession of the goods.

To exercise the right of withdrawal, you must inform us of your decision to withdraw from the purchase contract by an unequivocal statement. The easiest way to do so is by informing our customer support through [email protected]. If you do so, we will communicate to you an acknowledgement of receipt of such a withdrawal on a durable medium (e.g. by e-mail) without delay. To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.

Effects of withdrawal

If you withdraw from an agreement, we shall reimburse you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery, without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which we are informed about your decision to withdraw from this contract. We will carry out such reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement. We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back or you have supplied evidence of having sent back the goods, whichever is the earliest.

You shall send back the goods to our returns warehouse without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which you communicate your withdrawal from this contract to us. The deadline is met if you send back the goods before the period of 14 days has expired. You will have to bear the direct cost of returning the goods. You are only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from the handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics, and functioning of the goods.

Exceptions

Please note that personalised registration plates cannot be returned. Since they are bespoke items, the traditional 14-day cooling oof period does not apply. Plate Doctor is not obliged to grant you a full refund or free cancellation for custom orders.

We have the right to reject any defective items that were returned to us and not grant you a refund. Additionally, Plate Doctor is not liable for any costs incurred upon choosing to return an item to us. Please note that any discontinued products will not be refunded.

Abuse

Refunds are designed to remove the risk from purchasing products or services — not as a way to get free products and services. If it appears to us that you are abusing refunds, we may stop offering them to you. We do not consider it abuse to request a refund on a product that was purchased just before a sale and then immediately rebuying that product for the sale price.
